Join Verdigris Ensemble and Rosewood Center for Family Arts for an intimate, immersive reimagining of The Velveteen Rabbit, based on Margery Williams’ beloved story, May 15–16 at Rosewood Center for Family Arts. Directed by Emily Ernst, this one-hour production brings the tale to life through the voices of 16 vocalists, live narration, and thoughtfully integrated multimedia.

At its heart, The Velveteen Rabbit is a story about love, patience, and becoming real. Told through contemporary classical vocal music and inventive staging, the performance invites audiences into a world where toys dream, connection matters, and transformation unfolds gently over time.

Whether you’re sharing a first live performance with young listeners or revisiting a story you’ve carried since childhood, this production offers a warm, accessible theatrical experience for all ages. Evening performances begin at 7:30 PM, Saturday matinee at 2:00 PM.
